The Youth Board

The Dutchess County Pride Center Youth Board is comprised of Dutchess County residents between the ages of 13-18.  One Youth Board member also serves as a liaison between the Youth Board and the Board of Directors.

The Youth Board responsibilities include developing outreach, implementing programs, and creating events for LGBTQ+ youth and their families.  All members of the Youth Board take part in a leadership training series, where they learn about leadership skills, community organizing, and how to use their voices to create change in the world around them.  

The Youth Board also has voting capacity on the Board of Directors.  Decisions made by the collective Youth Board count as 1 (one) full vote on the Board of Directors.
